Position Overview
As a Healthcare Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in enhancing our operational efficiency and financial performance. You will collaborate with various departments, utilizing your analytical skills to provide valuable insights that shape strategic decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Cultivate a positive workplace culture that aligns with our Service and Behavioral Standards.
- Partner with department leaders to formulate annual budgets, forecasts, and financial models through meticulous data analysis.
- Collect, manage, and maintain data from diverse sources, ensuring the integrity of our databases and data systems.
- Evaluate financial and operational outcomes, leveraging BI tools to deliver actionable insights.
- Develop comprehensive analyses, business cases, and strategic recommendations for upcoming investments.
- Assess and optimize existing processes and procedures for enhanced operational efficiency.
- Present findings and improvement suggestions to promote cost savings, revenue enhancement, and streamlined operations.
- Engage in data collection and analysis to facilitate process improvements and ensure overall business success.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and undertake additional responsibilities as required.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting, healthcare administration, or a related field, with a minimum of 1 year of data analysis experience; or an Associate's degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
- Proficient in SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or similar reporting tools.
Qualifications
- Familiarity with CPT and ICD-10 coding, RVUs, and contract analysis is preferred.
- Strong analytical capabilities and experience in reporting tools.
- Understanding of Athena and EPIC systems is advantageous.
- General accounting competencies, including budget calculations and cost analysis.
- Advanced skills in computer applications, particularly Excel macros and accounting software.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills.
